Senior Backend Engineer Go

Position: Senior Backend Engineer Go Payments
Location: Montreal

Build Jeeves financial services remotely with Go, Python, or Type Script while designing reliable systems for global payments and cards. Work full time from anywhere.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build backend services powering payments, cards, spend management, and compliance infrastructure. You will work with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, databases, event-driven architectures, and cloud platforms. The work spans production engineering, AI-assisted features, security, and globally distributed collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Design scalable services processing transactions across 20+ countries
Write tested production code and participate in reviews
Build APIs using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, and queues
Integrate reliable LLM features into backend services
Monitor services and respond during on-call incidents
Requirements:
Five-plus years building and operating backend production systems
Proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js/Type Script

Experience with APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems
PostgreSQL schema design, optimization, and data modeling experience
Cloud, containers, CI/CD, and third-party API integration experience
Bring backend expertise, AI integration skills, and financial systems experience to Jeeves's globally distributed engineering team remotely.
