Recreation Specialist

Then this opportunity is for you! We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Recreation Specialist to join our team at a remote northern mine site.

The Recreation Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing activities for mine workers, helping to promote their well-being during their stay on site.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage:

Yearly events:
Christmas, Nunavut Day, Halloween, etc.,

Camp life :
Various social, recreational and departmental activities,

Orders of supplies and materials,

Social Club :

Bazaar and vending machines,

Volunteers & membership,

Budgetary planning.

All related communications.

1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;

Diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure, considered an asset;

Experience working in a multicultural and mining environment;

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team;

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;

Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
