The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Type III Pilot Instructor to join our Customer Services organization based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will represent Airbus Canada in front of customers, operators and authorities. You will work with teams across the world and have the opportunity to develop expertise in various areas and roles, including management/project positions. You will be part of the Airbus Canada Training Centre responsible for conceiving, building and delivering the best flight training and flight operations support to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the Airbus aircraft.
The team is organized to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
- Line training or line checking for Airbus A220
- Simulator training or simulator checking for Airbus Canada, mainly in Dorval, Canada
- Support to the TFOS community (Training & Flight Operations Services)
- Support for office activities on demand

- Conduct best possible training & checking according to your qualifications within Airbus Canada Training to ensure a safe and efficient entry-into-service and operation of Airbus A220 (BD-500) aircraft
- In flight (Initial Operating Experience)
- In simulator / FSTDs
- In classroom and/or equivalent (e.g. virtual classroom)
- Work on different projects on demand within TFOS
- Represent Airbus Canada Training and the Manufacturer in front of the customer: support the customer, especially during the flight period, to ensure entry into service and safety; proactively identify potential problems and find solutions; act as Team Leader during Initial Operating
Experience:
coordination with the Airbus Canada team; coordination with the airline - Ensure standardization, development, and management tasks during your career within Airbus Canada
- Maintain and upgrade your competences according to your qualification
- Hold an ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by EASA, TCCA or FAA
- Hold a valid EASA TRI, FAA Flight Instructor Aircraft or TCCA Instructor Appointment issued by a Canadian operator on BD-500
- Hold a valid Class 1 medical in accordance with ATPL requirements
- Hold a minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 4
- Fluent in English
- Hold a Low Visibility Operations qualification
- Hold or have held an ETOPS qualification
- Flight hours required: minimum 5,000 hours as Pilot; minimum 3,000 hours on jet large aircraft above 50t MTOW; minimum 1,000 hours as Captain on Airbus aircraft; minimum 500 hours instructor experience in FFS on large aircraft; minimum 500 hours experience as Captain assigned to conduct LIFUS/IOE; a significant part of instructor experience must be initial type rating oriented
- Qualified (current) and experienced as Captain and Flight Instructor on BD-500
- Examiner experience is an asset
- Significant commercial airline experience
- Evidence‑based training / Competence‑based training assessment expertise required
- Project management mindset
- Managerial experience is an asset
- Experience in Flight Safety is an asset
