ABOUT THE HQ DIVISION

To meet the demands of northern and remote operations, Air Inuit’s Hydro ‑ Québec division currently operates a fleet of Dash 8 Q400 and Dash 8 ‑ 300 aircraft, which will be modernized with the introduction of ATR
72 ‑ 600 aircraft scheduled for fall 2026. These aircraft ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of personnel to key sites across Saguenay, Abitibi, the North Shore, and James Bay.

More than just an air service, the HQ division is a critical pillar—bringing together expertise, performance, and collaboration to support projects that are shaping Québec today and into the future.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Flight Operations, you will play a key role in the performance and evolution of air operations. You will actively contribute to safety, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives, while participating in strategic projects such as the integration of new aircraft. Working closely with teams, you will ensure regulatory compliance and act as a trusted partner in supporting operational excellence and a proactive safety culture.

THE ROLE IN DEPTH
  • Actively contribute to the Safety Management System (SMS) by supporting a proactive, continuous improvement–driven culture.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of training programs to ensure their long‑term relevance and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with management teams to develop, review, and optimize operational manuals (OMEL, SOP, OM, etc.) in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Support the Director and Flight Operations management in implementing new operations, conducting regulatory assessments, and optimizing operational practices.
  • Play a key role in the integration of the new ATR 72 ‑ 212A aircraft, including assessing regulatory requirements, developing procedures, coordinating certification and training activities, and providing ongoing technical and operational support.
  • Serve as a resource for flight crews by sharing industry best practices and emerging trends (conferences, symposiums, etc.).
  • Ensure effective collaboration with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve departmental processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to various strategic initiatives assigned by the Director of Flight Operations.
WHAT SETS YOU APART
  • Ability to act as Pilot-in-Command (Captain) on company aircraft, with mandatory experience on similar aircraft types (ATR 72 and/or Q400).
  • Experience as a training pilot and PVA (asset).
  • Significant experience in training, as well as in the development and management of policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience in risk management and quality assurance.
  • Bilingual (French and English), both spoken and written;
    Inuktitut is an asset.
  • College diploma or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities.
COMPENSATION
  • Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work location:

    Air Inuit Head Office, located in Ville St‑Laurent.
  • Schedule:

    40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • The work schedule includes duty periods associated with flight assignments.
