Job Description

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A private household in Montreal is seeking a professional and service-oriented Chauffeur to provide safe, discreet, and reliable transportation for the principals and occasional guests. This position may be offered on either a live-in or live-out basis depending on preferences.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive chauffeur experience
, exceptional discretion, strong situational awareness, and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of private service. Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to anticipate transportation and logistical needs are essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation for the principals and guests.
  • Plan efficient routes while considering traffic, weather, security, and scheduling requirements.
  • Maintain vehicles in impeccable condition, including cleaning, fueling/charging, servicing, and coordinating repairs.
  • Monitor vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance schedules, and insurance documentation.
  • Assist with airport transfers, appointments, meetings, social engagements, personal shopping, and travel-related logistics.
  • Handle deliveries, errands, and procurement requests as required.
  • Support luggage handling and vehicle loading when necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the household's activities, schedules, and personal information.
  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism while remaining unobtrusive during working hours.
  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure seamless daily operations.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a private chauffeur, executive chauffeur, diplomatic chauffeur, or staff driver serving senior military officers or government officials.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent knowledge of Montreal and surrounding areas.
  • Strong defensive driving skills and commitment to passenger safety.
  • Professional appearance with the ability to blend seamlessly into the household environment.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evenings and Saturdays.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and service-focused in all situations.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • First Aid, AED and CPR certification considered an asset.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Work schedule:

    Tuesday to Saturday (flexibility required).
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Live-in accommodation is an option.
  • 3 weeks vacation.
