HazMat Driver Technician

Position: HazMat Driver Technician with Republic Services
Location: Montreal

Join Republic Services as a Haz Mat Field Driver/Technician, where your role is crucial for safe transportation of hazardous waste. Drive Class A trucks to various generator sites and ensure compliance with regulations.

The Haz Mat Field Driver/Technician operates Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling that may include 3-4 overnight shifts each week. Essential duties include operating various truck types, performing pickups, and maintaining driver documentation. You will also engage with customers to ensure their satisfaction while upholding safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class A trucks, including roll-offs and tankers

• Conduct LTL pickups and manage trip documentation

• Ensure compliance with DOT hazardous waste regulations

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Engage with customers for service satisfaction

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT/tanker endorsements

• Ability to lift heavy objects

• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire

• Attention to detail and task prioritization

• Familiarity with state weight limit laws
