Join Home Hardware as a Transportation Dispatcher in St. Jacobs, Ontario, ensuring timely dispatch of deliveries and optimizing routes. This position demands strong communication and organizational skills.
In this role, you'll coordinate outbound shipments while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Reporting to the Manager of Transportation and Maintenance, your excellent prioritization skills will be essential in a dynamic team-focused environment. You will handle logistical challenges and collaborate with internal teams to resolve any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
• Optimize routes and assign drivers for shipments
• Ensure compliance using Samsara eLogs for efficiency
• Keep accurate records in the Transportation Planning system
• Schedule gate appointments for incoming trailers
• Communicate updates and facilitate backhaul operations
Requirements:
• 1-2 years' experience in transportation logistics
• Knowledge of Home Hardware procedures advantageous
• Proficient in computer systems; familiarity with Manhattan TP&E an asset
• Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
