Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) – YMX
Location: Mirabel

As a certified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible for maintaining a Bell 412 helicopter that supports the new government helicopter air ambulance program. Summit Helicopters – Quebec Division is seeking responsible, dynamic, and professional candidates who want to be part of the team establishing the foundation of this new program. This is an immediate hiring opportunity, with operations scheduled to commence in September 2026.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance on aircraft and their components.
  • Carry out all maintenance activities in accordance with applicable airworthiness standards.
  • Ensure all documentation related to assigned tasks is complete and accurate before submission.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with airworthiness requirements.
  • Troubleshoot system failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Assist with structural and avionics repairs as required.
  • Work closely with flight crew members to ensure aircraft availability 7 days a week, supporting a 12-hour daily operational schedule while maintaining the highest aviation safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the maintenance team (three AMEs in total) to ensure aircraft availability according to the schedule outlined above. A sample work schedule is attached, offering the benefit of significant time off and vacation periods. The proposed schedule is designed to provide equal working hours and time-off periods for all team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on helicopter maintenance experience. Experience on Bell 412 and/or Bell 212 helicopters is considered an asset.
  • A criminal record check will be required as part of the pre-employment screening process.
  • Valid Transport Canada AME M1/M2 licence.
  • Valid Canadian passport and driver's licence.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail, decision-making ability, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
