What You’ll Do
As a Truck Driver, you’ll operate tractor-trailers to move freight safely and efficiently between terminals, yards, customer sites, and work locations. You’ll play a key role in keeping freight moving on time while representing GT Group with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations over local and long-distance routesPick up, transport, and deliver freight on scheduleDrop, hook, spot, and interchange equipment as neededPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsMaintain driver logs and required transport documentationEnsure cargo is secure and properly handledAssist with loading and unloading when requiredFollow all Transport Canada Hours of Service regulationsCommunicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team membersPerform related duties as assignedWhat You Bring
Required Qualifications
Valid Class 1 driver’s license3–5 years of verified Class 1 driving experienceClean driving recordFAST card or ability to obtain oneValid passport and eligibility for U.S. entry for short tripsHazmat endorsementSkills & Strengths
Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practicesGood written and verbal communication skillsMechanical awareness and ability to perform basic truck checksStrong spatial awareness, coordination, and reaction timeAbility to lift/push 50+ lbsCustomer-focused, dependable, and organizedAble to work independently and as part of a teamBilingual (English/French) (USA border crossings);Why Join ?
