Logistics manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end logistics operations for their growing international export business. This role will manage shipping operations from Canada and the U.S. to global markets including Europe, Asia, and Africa, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation across multiple modes.

This position reports directly to the Logistics Director.

• Oversee A-to-Z logistics operations, including shipping, freight rates, documentation, and labeling.
• Manage export logistics from Canada and the U.S. to international markets (EU, Asia, Africa, etc.).
• Coordinate multiple modes of transportation (containers, ocean, air, ground, etc.).
• Handle container shipments and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
• Negotiate freight rates and maintain relationships with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Prepare and manage shipping documents, customs paperwork, and export documentation.
• Support the Sales team across product lines:
• Meat & Poultry
• Fruits & Vegetables
• Ensure on-time delivery and resolve any logistics or shipment issues.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to manage logistics data, reporting, and operational workflows.

• 3+ years of logistics or supply chain experience.
• Proven experience in export logistics (Canada/USA to international markets).
• Experience managing container shipments and multiple transportation modes.
• Strong knowledge of freight rates, shipping documentation, and international trade compliance.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (required).
• Strong negotiation skills (preferred).
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales and operations teams.
