Dorval Position Summary

The Returns Associate is responsible for accurately processing product returns while supporting warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role involves inspecting returned merchandise, updating return data in internal systems, and collaborating with Customer Service and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate return handling. The Returns Associate also contributes to general warehouse organization and operational support.

Essential Functions
  • Receive and unpack returned merchandise; inspect product condition, packaging, and accompanying documentation to ensure compliance with return procedures
  • Review return authorizations and communicate with Customer Service to resolve discrepancies or clarify return details
  • Sort and route returned items to appropriate locations based on condition, value, and return type (restock, damage, disposal, etc.)
  • Accurately enter return data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure all records are complete and up to date
  • Identify and escalate any critical issues related to returns, discrepancies, or inventory to the team lead or supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
  • Assist with general warehouse duties, including put-away, inventory handling, and cross‑departmental support as needed
  • Contribute to team objectives by supporting operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or returns processing role is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and product inspection
  • Basic computer skills; experience with WMS or inventory systems is preferred
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and meet productivity targets
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify and escape issues appropriately
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move products (up to (insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs))
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
