Rosemont Baptist Church in Montrose, Colorado is seeking a Part-Time Music Leader who can help us lead our congregation into the future in the area of music. We would potentially like this role to turn into a full-time opportunity, based on ministerial skills and needs of the church. The Music Leader will oversee all aspects of the music portion of Rosemont Baptist’s worship services as well as participate in the various ministries and outreach of the church.

Rosemont is a welcoming, outreach-oriented, growing church of about 100 people located in Montrose, Colorado. Over the last several years we have been growing, and we are ready to expand this area of our ministry. Our current style of worship singing is blended, and we have a team of singers who participate on a rotating basis. We are looking for someone who can lead worship from behind a piano/keyboard or guitar and whose attitude and giftedness will help us continue to make our worship time celebratory and focused on God, leading us into true worship.

• A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Passion for worship
• Ability to expertly play either piano/keyboard or guitar
• Strong gospel-centered theology displayed in songs
• Some experience leading a congregation of mixed ages to worship
• Ability to read music
• Ability to build and lead a praise team
• Love a variety of styles of songs to engage a wide array of people
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree not required but would be a plus

• Lead singing at Sunday morning worship service
• Lead song services at any additional services or special events (weddings, funerals, etc.)
• Schedule and lead a weekly practice
• Lead a praise team
• Develop song schedule and themes with Pastor
• Meet with Pastor once a week

$24,000 a year for around 15 hours a week
