About

The Emergency Department

Level III Trauma Center staffed 24 hours per day by Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and RNs certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and in Trauma Care.

About The Career

The Emergency Department Nurse is responsible for providing age‑appropriate emergent and non‑emergent nursing care to all patients in the emergency department. The Emergency Department Nurse must be able to function independently or as a member of a team to meet the needs of the patient. The Emergency Department Nurse must possess advanced knowledge and skills in the treatment of pediatric patients, trauma patients, critically ill or injured patients, and assist the physician in all forms of medical resuscitation.

The Emergency Department Nurse needs to be able to prioritize patients' care and anticipate the needs of patients. The Emergency Department Nurse must possess advanced assessment and triage skills. As a member of the health care team, the nurse serves to meet the needs of the patient, their family and other members of the community by providing quality nursing care and emotional or spiritual support in times of crisis.

About You
  • Current Colorado or compact state RN license or ability to become licensed.
  • Education:

    Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associate’s, or Diploma in Nursing.
  • BLS required upon hire.
