Ferguson is seeking a proven Outside Sales Representative to fill an immediate need in the Southwest Colorado market. This field‑based role requires residency in the Montrose, CO area. Benefits include a fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone, and laptop.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, working with other branch associates to ensure satisfaction from order to delivery.
- Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities and work with management to develop sales strategies and account targeting.
- Perform duties such as product quotation and problem resolution.
- Analyze competition in the territory, devise a sales strategy, and communicate it to management.
- Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.
- Document all sales activity in our internal Customer Relationship Management tool (Salesforce) for pipeline evaluation and sales closure measurement.
- A minimum of 3 years of industry‑related sales experience.
- Results‑oriented, self‑motivated, able to complete tasks promptly, and thrive in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem‑solving, leadership, and listening skills.
- General digital literacy.
- Self‑motivated, multi‑tasking, and quick learner.
Base plus commission eligible role, with no cap on commission. Estimated total compensation range: $75,000 – $100,000+ based on performance and experience.
