Cornerstone Club is seeking a skilled individual to join our team as the Equipment Manager. This individual will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to coordinate the equipment needs meeting the expectations set by the club. Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, cleanliness and knowledge of turf management practices are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment, including mowing equipment, tractors, power tools, hand tools, and snow removal equipment. Maintaining a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Place orders for parts/supplies as needed for equipment or service and tracks expenses and inventories for budget. Train all employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery/vehicles.

Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. Perform other duties as assigned by Golf Course Superintendent.

  • Prior experience as a successful Equipment Manager, Head Mechanic, or Assistant Mechanic in a golf course setting.
  • Advanced understanding of golf course maintenance equipment repair and diagnostics, specifically Toro and Kubota, as well as Polaris side by sides.
  • Ability to maintain vehicle fleet. (3 Ford trucks, 2 shuttle vans)
  • General understanding of all types of engines, hydraulics, pumps, electronics, etc.
  • Ability to weld, fabricate.
  • Thorough experience using reel and bed-knife grinders.
  • General knowledge using computers, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Keeps accurate, complete, and timely records of repair work performed
  • Maintain a clean shop and safe working area.
  • Ability to work some weekends and holidays as required.
  • Valid Drivers License is required.
