Duration: 12 months, with possible extension
Working Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
- Overtime: 50% Monday – Thursday and up to 4 hours Saturday; 100% after 4 hours Saturday and Sundays

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Labourer on behalf of a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Montrose
.
The role will be varied and hands-on, including activities such as power washing, material handling, moving components between workstations, general cleaning and housekeeping, as well as supporting other departments when required.
A valid B1 licence from an accredited company is highly recommended for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across manufacturing workshops and external storage areas.
- Operate overhead gantry cranes safely and effectively.
- Power wash equipment and assist painters/blasters as required.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in coverall storage and locker room areas.
- Carry out deliveries and collections in line with required timings.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness, order and safety throughout the facility.
- Operate forklifts and side loaders when required.
- Empty swarf, material off-cuts and waste containers.
- Work collaboratively with all departments, including machine operators and management.
- Move components to the correct workstations to maximise workflow and production efficiency.
- Accurately complete electronic timekeeping and timesheets and return them to the relevant supervisor at the end of each shift.
- Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies and procedures.
- Identify and communicate health and safety risks and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure all health & safety, quality and housekeeping requirements are met.
- Maintain production area housekeeping in line with 5S principles
. - Conduct all material movements in accordance with safe working practices.
- Minimise waste through the efficient use and disposal of raw materials and consumables.
- Ensure all work is carried out in full compliance with departmental and company policies, procedures and processes.
- Provide support to other departments and undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the line manager.
Requirements:
- Practical, reliable and comfortable working in a busy workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Physically capable of manual handling and moving components and materials.
- Safety-conscious, with a strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
- Organised and able to prioritise tasks to support continuous workflow.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with different teams and departments.
- Willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
- Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping.
- Previous experience operating workshop equipment, forklifts, side loaders or overhead cranes would be advantageous.
- B1 licence from an accredited company and in date is highly recommended.
