Our major oilfield services client is looking for a Workshop Labourer to join their busy operation in Montrose on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established workshop environment where you'll play a key role in supporting production teams, maintaining site standards, and ensuring efficient workflow across the facility.
What's on Offer?- 12-month contract with potential extension
- Early finish every Friday
- 29 days holiday entitlement
- Overtime Available:
- 50% uplift Monday to Thursday and first 4 hours Saturday
- 100% uplift after 4 hours Saturday and all day Sunday
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshops and outdoor storage areas
- Move components and equipment throughout the workshop to support production flow
- Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead gantry cranes where authorised
- Carry out power washing of equipment and support painting/blasting activities as required
- Assist with deliveries, collections, and material movements
- Ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Empty waste containers and dispose of materials in line with company procedures
- Support machine operators, supervisors, and other departments as required
- Complete timesheets and electronic timekeeping records accurately
Promote safe working practices and identify potential health and safety risks - Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Valid B1 Forklift Licence (essential) from an accredited provider and in date
- Previous experience within a workshop, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
- Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks safely
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple departments
- Good awareness of health, safety, and housekeeping standards
- Reliable, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic
