Position: Labourer (w/ Forklift license)

Our major oilfield services client is looking for a Workshop Labourer to join their busy operation in Montrose on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established workshop environment where you'll play a key role in supporting production teams, maintaining site standards, and ensuring efficient workflow across the facility.

What's on Offer?
  • 12-month contract with potential extension
  • Early finish every Friday
  • 29 days holiday entitlement
  • Overtime Available:
    • 50% uplift Monday to Thursday and first 4 hours Saturday
    • 100% uplift after 4 hours Saturday and all day Sunday
Working Hours
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
  • Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshops and outdoor storage areas
  • Move components and equipment throughout the workshop to support production flow
  • Operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead gantry cranes where authorised
  • Carry out power washing of equipment and support painting/blasting activities as required
  • Assist with deliveries, collections, and material movements
  • Ensure production areas remain clean, organised, and safe at all times
  • Empty waste containers and dispose of materials in line with company procedures
  • Support machine operators, supervisors, and other departments as required
  • Complete timesheets and electronic timekeeping records accurately

    Promote safe working practices and identify potential health and safety risks
  • Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Valid B1 Forklift Licence (essential) from an accredited provider and in date
  • Previous experience within a workshop, manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and physical tasks safely
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support multiple departments
  • Good awareness of health, safety, and housekeeping standards
  • Reliable, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic
