Summary of
Job Description:
The Office Coordinator provides shared administrative and operational support to the Education and Career Development departments. This position coordinates program logistics, communications, records management, reporting, procurement activities, participant tracking, and general office operations. The role is responsible for improving efficiency, supporting data-driven decision making, and ensuring the effective delivery of educational and workforce development programs for Tribal members and employees.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and project coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams, and database management systems
- Ability to prepare reports, track data, and maintain accurate records
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Tribal members, employees, students, vendors, and external partners
Education, Experience and Training:
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Administration, Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field
AND
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative, office coordination, program support, or customer service experience
OR
- High school diploma or equivalent
AND
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative or office coordination experience
- Experience coordinating meetings, events, training programs, including registrations, and logistical arrangements
- Experience maintaining confidential records, databases, spreadsheets, and electronic filing systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience with data tracking, report generation, program metrics, and database management
- Experience processing purchase orders, invoices, budget tracking, vendor coordination, or other financial and procurement-related activities
- Demonstrated experience preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and other business documents
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidate must pass the background check in accordance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (ICPA)
