NEMG/YNHHS has entered into a partnership with Mohegan Sun to provide onsite medical services to casino employees, their dependents and tribal members. The aim of the partnership is to promote health and wellness. To assist with this, NEMG opened an 8,000 sf multispecialty clinic in Uncasville in Spring 2021. The clinic provides care to the general public in the area. Services provided include—walk‑in, primary care (family / internal medicine), physiatry, endocrinology, laboratory and basic imaging.
Our care model provides a 1:1 medical‑assistant/MD ratio.
The facility includes RN/coordination staff and behavioral‑health resources. Office‑based procedures are performed as appropriate by specialty and within limits of facility design and licensing. This position may also oversee a developing direct‑to‑employer relationship in the region.

- 36 patient hours per week, 4 admin time, four 10‑hr or three 12‑hr shifts available
- 15–20 ppd with light, shared phone‑call responsibilities with regional group

Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Involve patients and their families in care and treatment decisions
- Create treatment plans and complete orders in patient’s charts
- Collaborate on improvements in care delivery and service with staff, other physicians and management
- Initiate appropriate specialty referrals
- Provide clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a clear and timely manner
- Ensure that proper patient documentation is timely, accurate and complete
- Work with practice management to ensure proper compliance with billing, coding and CPT code assignment
- Achieve and maintain optimal patient access
- Provide interdepartmental medical consultation as requested
- Participate in the development of medical protocols, standard procedures and management of clinical quality initiatives
- Degree of MD or DO with ABIM‑recognized internal medicine residency (three years minimum) or ABFM‑recognized family medicine residency (three years minimum)
- BC/BE
- Active, unrestricted CT medical license or in the process of obtaining it
- Valid BLS certification, valid DEA registration and controlled substance certificate
