JOB SUMMARY:
This position works directly with In School Youth who meet the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) guidelines. This individual must possess high energy and motivation to assist youth in meeting their program goals. He/She should be a self-starter who can work independently, be well organized, able to multitask, and prioritize projects. The WIOA In School Youth Career Advisor provides WIOA core and registered services to all enrolled clients.
These services include but are not limited to academic support, career assessment, transition planning, career exploration, job placement/internship/work–based learning opportunities, portfolio documenting, financial literacy, basic skills training, mentorship, leadership, communication/team building development, support services, follow-up and retention services.
