**** position summary:
** this position is responsible for transporting passengers to and from their destinations in a safe and courteous manner.
** primary duties and responsibilities****:
** includes but not limited to:
* keeps cars stocked and cleaned during shift
* generates reports of all associated expenses
* follows all safety, dmv and highway rules and regulations
** secondary duties and responsibilities:
*** makes minor repairs to vehicles, as needed
* informs management of guest service issues
** minimum education and qualifications:
*** high school diploma or equivalent
* must have a minimum of six months of driving experience in the transportation industry
* must have a valid driver’s license with public service endorsement and must be insurable through the company carrier
* must maintain an up- to-date medical card
** competencies:
** incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
* excellent written and verbal communication skills
* excellent guest service skills
* self motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
** training requirements:
*** all required safety and regulatory training
* ability to operate various types of vehicles, including the use of manual transmissions
* smart alcohol awareness
** physical demands and work environment:
*** must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
* must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
* must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
* must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
* must be able to regularly visit all work related areas in transportation
