Product Design Engineer II

Job Summary

Design and engineer Point of Purchase displays for retail environments. Provide engineering drawings and support to sales and production to facilitate sales, estimating and fabrication of VI products. Operate Pro-E (CREO) computer software systems to create and/or modify designs based on information received from sales personnel. Prepare BOM’s from engineering drawings for purchasing, estimating and production purposes. Provide initial prints and support to our sample shop for rapid prototyping.

Provide engineering support to production and quality personnel during the production process.

Required Qualifications:

• BSME or BS in Industrial Design
• At least 4 years’ experience developing designs for manufacturability (sheet metal, tube, and wire preferred)
• At least 4 years’ experience using CAD software for modeling and engineering drawing development
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Ability to work well within an office environment and with shop personnel.

• Experience developing detailed engineering drawings with Pro Engineer (CREO), or Solid Works.
• Experience designing with wood and plastics a plus

• Operating design software systems
• Producing designs, prints and specifications
• Effective inter-department communications
• Reporting for work regularly and on time.
