Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or STEM related field

Minimum of 5 years related professional experience, with at least two years in deployment/administration of a Linux Operating Environment (preferably Red Hat)
Systems Engineering experience working in any of the following areas; tactical environments, network operations, user account creation and management, security OS patching as well as security auditing

Experience with coding / scripting / automation / orchestration platforms (such as Python, Ansible, and bash)
Configuration management and change management experience using tools such as Git, Clear Case, and Clear Quest Comp TIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level

Requires U.S. Citizenship Ability to Travel Desired Skills Experience supporting ship network/operating environment installations and checkouts Advanced technical certification(s) such as Linux+ or RHCSAKnowledge of RMF Compliance and familiarity with DISA STIG'sExperience with Rational Clear Case tools supporting the software configuration management (SCM) processes

Demonstrated expertise in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux across multiple major releases (6, 8, and 10), including system administration, package management, kernel tuning, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments

Understanding of designing, provisioning, and managing scalable cloud‑based infrastructure services (compute, storage, networking) using IaaS solutions, with a focus on automation, cost optimization, and adherence to service‑level agreements
