Controls Lead

Location:

Mooresville, IN

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (Days)

Target Pay: $38-$42/hr doe

Reports to:

Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a Controls Lead to spearhead the implementation and integration of the Ignition SCADA system and associated electrical controls across key plant areas, including Extruder systems, Spray Dry, and Coating. This role will provide technical expertise in design development, technical reviews, and execution during installation, commissioning, validation, and ongoing maintenance phases. Additionally, you will support daily electrical and controls optimization and troubleshooting.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical controls and automation within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, PCs, and plant automation.
  • Familiarity with TPM and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in electrical wiring schematics, relay logic, and control system design.
  • Experience with SCADA systems (Ignition preferred).
  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and integrate Ignition SCADA system and related controls.
  • Support design development and participate in technical reviews for electrical control systems.
  • Execute installation, commissioning, and validation activities for controls projects.
  • Provide troubleshooting and optimization for electrical and control systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless upgrades and system reliability.
  • Maintain and update electrical wiring schematics and relay logic diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards during all phases of work.
  • Work with production and engineering teams to define equipment requirements for new product introductions.
  • Train and mentor less experienced maintenance staff.
