PHARMACY/TECHNICIAN – KROGER MOUNTAIN VIEW FOODS

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and guidelines, and report unsafe conditions to store management.
• Perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow company guidelines for computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Maintain departmental standards, keeping workstations and customer areas clean and organized.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure the best value for the customer and the company.
• Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide appropriate assistance.
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, cash shortages, and corporate shrink policies.
• Operate the cash register and follow cashier handling policies for all transactions, including Credit/Debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist with all responsibilities that do not require a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and the company’s policies regarding confidential information.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements for the position.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior comparable experience.
• Experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Familiarity with EPRN.
