Reach Truck Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Reach Truck Operator to join our team for the Night Shift on a 2/2/3 schedule (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) in a food manufacturing environment
. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of uninterrupted experience and will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The operator is accountable for the safe and effective use of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order picker duties

• Operate reach trucks to safely load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
• Accurately pick and stage orders to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying, labeling, and properly storing materials and supplies.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of reach trucks to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols specific to food manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and logistics to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Support general warehouse operations and assist team members as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts to enhance efficiency and product flow.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of uninterrupted experience operating reach trucks.
• Ability to pass onsite reach truck operator certification.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and warehouse best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently on the night shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects safely.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions

Typical Environmental Conditions

• May be exposed to moderate noise levels (i.e. office equipment, light traffic).
• May be exposed to moderate to high noise levels (i.e. production equipment, forklifts, heavy traffic).
• May be exposed to humidity, intense heat and cold, outdoor weather conditions, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
• May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.
