• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Guaranteed

Hours:

36 per week

• Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend

• Holiday Requirement:
Work 75% of holidays

• Scrub Color:
Navy Blue or hospital-issued

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or compact state

• Minimum 18 months of recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) RN experience

• Current BLS, ACLS, EFM, and NRP certifications required

• Proficient in all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating C-sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring), lactation support, postpartum care, and newborn resuscitation

• Experience with EPIC EMR and standard Labor & Delivery equipment

• Ability to float to other regional healthcare facilities as needed

• First-time travel nurses not accepted
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases

• Circulate and assist in C-section procedures as part of the clinical team

• Provide newborn care, including resuscitation and routine testing

• Support mothers with lactation and postpartum needs

• Collaborate with OB physicians, pediatricians, case managers, and support staff

• Utilize bedside fetal monitoring and maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR

• Float to other regional healthcare facilities as required, within RN scope of practice

• Participate in departmental orientation and ongoing clinical training
