The Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, leads a high‑performing team responsible for the accurate processing, review, and reporting of complex revenue‑related financial activities. This role requires advanced technical accounting acumen, strong leadership, and the ability to guide a fast‑paced monthly close process while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.

The Senior Manager will serve as a key business partner across accounting, finance, and operations, driving cross‑functional alignment, improving internal processes, strengthening SOX controls, and enabling timely, accurate reporting. The role also plays a critical part in defining accounting policy, resolving complex issues, and communicating with senior leadership and external auditors.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the accurate preparation, review, and assessment of revenue‑related financial data.
• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles – including reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and variance analysis – in a fast‑paced environment.
• Leverage advanced accounting expertise to address complex business issues; research and independently determine proper GAAP application.
• Strengthen financial reporting accuracy by reviewing and validating team‑prepared analyses and reconciliations.
• Manage and improve internal controls for financial and regulatory reporting; oversee SOX testing, documentation, and compliance for assigned areas.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders, FP&A, and operations to identify and implement enhancements to financial processes, systems, and analytical capabilities.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and external auditors to resolve audit matters, explain accounting positions, and support regulatory requests.
• Lead and deliver special projects and cross‑functional initiatives that drive operational excellence and business value.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting team members and emerging leaders to build long‑term organizational capability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA or active CPA candidate required.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or tax (public accounting or industry).
• 2+ years of leadership experience and reviewing work of others.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing cross‑functional decision‑making.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, revenue accounting concepts, and internal controls (SOX experience strongly preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office; experience with analytics tools and process improvement methodologies preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location, and other geographic considerations. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
