General Service Technician

Position Summary

The Technician performs service and installation activities associated with Big O automotive maintenance and tire services. We are seeking an experienced technician who can properly diagnose and repair both foreign and domestic vehicles.

• Follow Big O Service Standards procedures
• Mount, dismount, balance, repair and inspection on tires
• Use provided materials for tire rotations and installations
• Alignment check and services
• Drain oil and replace filter
• Check and fill various fluids
• Check and replace various vehicle filters
• Lubricate vehicle
• Perform safety check on all vehicles
• Installing and checking batteries
• Providing own basic tools
• Keep a clean work space

• ASE certified preferred but not required
• Self‑motivated
• Hands‑on skills in making repairs
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance protocols
• Diagnostic ability whether it be manually or with computerized diagnostic tools
• Valid driver’s license to properly road‑test vehicle to ensure work is successful
