Qwest Electric LLC is actively seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Estimator to take charge of the estimating process for large-scale commercial electrical projects ranging from $300K to $10M. Key Responsibilities- Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare accurate and timely bid proposals for commercial electrical projects ($300K-$10M).
- Use estimating software (Con Est preferred) to perform takeoffs and generate proposals.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure seamless handoff and execution of awarded projects.
- Maintain organized documentation of all estimates, proposals, and bid activity.
- Build and maintain relationships with GCs, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite walkthroughs as necessary.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine estimating strategies and pursue target markets.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating (commercial/industrial focus preferred).
- Expert knowledge of electrical construction, systems, and materials.
- Proficiency in estimating software—Con Est experience strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Team-player mentality with willingness to mentor junior staff and share knowledge.

Flexible hours, with some in-office and site visit responsibilities
Work LocationCharlotte, NC area with office headquarters in Mooresville, NC
Some travel to project sites and pre-bid walkthroughs may be required
