Experienced Caregiver

Home Instead is seeking compassionate, experienced and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients. This role involves working closely with individuals in various settings, including homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide patient care including monitoring vital signs and assisting with medication administration.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal preparation according to dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
• Observe and report changes in clients' conditions or behaviors to appropriate personnel.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory care needs.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for transferring clients safely when necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
