Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship

Base pay range: $17.00/hr – $20.50/hr.

Walgreens is proud to offer an “earn while you learn” Pharmacy Technician Training Program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor. This apprenticeship will guide you toward becoming a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certified Pharmacy Technician.

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, with pharmacy practice and other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with
  
  Dlg state, federal, and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, ensuring accurate entry of information.
• Help maintain a distinctive andSTANT customer experience by greeting patients, answering questions, and resolving issues.
• Fill prescriptions, verify medicines, check for interactions, and assist pharmacists in scheduling and workflow.
• Assi a pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.
• Support carpetsomething labs such as collecting and labeling blood/urine samples and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and comply with all company policies.
• Attend training and maintain continuing education credits.
• Assist in financial tasks such as operating cashier registers and processing manual claims.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program.
• Attend manager‑requested training and acquire continuing education credits.

• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification ().
