Our team supports our ABA therapy Learning Centers and diagnostic clinicians throughout the southeast.
This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Payroll Specialist located in Mooresville, NC. The Payroll Specialist will manage and process payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of paychecks.

Position Overview- Manages and processes payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of paychecks.
- Calculates and processes payroll deductions, manages garnishments, ensures compliance with payroll tax regulations, and resolves payroll‑related discrepancies.
- Maintains payroll records and provides exceptional support to management and employees regarding payroll inquiries.
- Performs general office duties to support Highlights Healthcare daily operations.
- Suggests improvements and changes to processes and policies to improve productivity or customer satisfaction.
- Maintains industry knowledge to keep skills current and to develop professionally.
- Complies with Highlights Healthcare’s vision, mission, and values.
- May be required to be available after‑hours, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university in finance or a related field.
- Proficiency in payroll administration, payroll processing, and payroll services.
- Strong knowledge of garnishments and payroll taxes.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems (ADP Workforce Now and HCHB).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform in a fast‑paced, team environment.
