Job Summary:
The Finish Fabricator is responsible for performing complex weld preparation and welding operations on custom metal fabrications. This role utilizes advanced fabrication skills to work on a variety of components and equipment, including aluminum work, steel work, welding, plastic fabrication, and assembly. The Fabricator is responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, setting up and operating welding equipment, and producing high-quality products that meet team specifications and performance standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform welding processes including MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) on various components.
- Install crush panels, windows, firewall panels, body supports, duct work, and brake ducts.
- Weld components in flat, overhead, or vertical positions as required.
- Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, and other assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine welding measurements and part placement.
- Trim, cut, and fit components using hand and power tools for precise assembly.
- Weld, solder, and assemble components to produce complete products.
- Align components and secure them with bolts, screws, or other fasteners.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble components efficiently and accurately.
- Identify and repair faulty components in defective products.
- Verify dimensions and product specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Ensure all required parts for assembly are available, organized, and ready for use.
- Mark cutting lines on materials and ensure parts are correctly fitted, aligned, and secured.
- Maintain high-quality standards and ensure products meet quality control requirements.
- Follow production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Test products for functionality and perform troubleshooting or stress testing to prevent defects or recalls.
- Document and report product malfunctions or assembly issues.
- Adhere to all safety standards and best practices in assembly and welding processes.
- Perform sheet metal updates, tailpipe updates, and crush panel installations.
- Construct and install components including duct work, cowl, front and rear glass, Romeo windows, bed tops, crush panels, seat and driver safety components, exhaust systems, and related assemblies.
- Able to use: sheet metal breaks, slip rolls, bead rollers, punches, shrinkers & stretchers, air driven grinders, and shears.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of all basic tools and equipment including band saw, drill press, sand blaster, rotex punch, cold saw, acetylene torch, and hydraulic punch
- Knowledge of metal forming equipment

Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 years fabrication experience in a motorsports environment
- Basic computer skills required to perform and record Romer arm measurements
- Exceptional MIG and TIG welding skills.
- Previous experience welding steel and aluminum
- AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel certification is preferred. AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code – Sheet Steel certification is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.
- Capable of moving from floor to standing position repeatedly throughout the day.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to access and navigate all departments within the organization’s facilities.
