Position OverviewThe Autoclave Technician is responsible for loading, operating, and monitoring autoclaves during the curing of composite parts. An autoclave is a large pressure vessel that uses controlled heat and pressure to strengthen composite materials, helping create lightweight and durable parts used in industries like aerospace, motorsports, and automotive. The technician ensures that parts are prepared correctly, air is removed using a vacuum, and the proper cure cycle is selected so the materials harden as intended.
This role is essential in making sure every part meets quality standards and is cured safely and accurately.
- Load/Unload Autoclaves
- Communicate with Lamination Lead to coordinate cure cycles
- Ensure correct cure cycles are selected/processed
- Ensure correct part information is entered and tracked in the software system
- Work with SFM/Lamination Lead to ensure all parts are cured to schedule requirements.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed
- Responsible for coordinating and monitoring “after hours” cure cycles
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow a work schedule that aids with maintaining production but that it’s also accommodating to company needs
- Understands, works within, and contributes to the continuous improvement of safety, health and environment requirements; adheres to all safety policies, reports safety and risk hazards
- Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in composites lamination
- Proficient with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Normal business hours: (1st Shift) 7:00AM – 4:00PM; (Mid Shift) 11:00AM – 8:00PM; (2nd Shift) 4:00PM – 1:00AM;
Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
