About FOODiversity

FOODiversity is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to reduce the burden of food insecurity for households living with food allergies, celiac disease, and food intolerances.

We prevent hunger, medical emergencies, and hospitalizations by raising awareness, providing educational and financial support, and increasing access to food for people with specific dietary needs.

People in economic distress who live with these chronic conditions fall deeper into food insecurity. In these cases, generalized emergency food assistance cannot meet their needs. Families are in constant crisis until they gain access to a consistent and reliable source of safe foods.

Our programs provide families with tools to better manage their medical conditions, preventing medical emergencies and hospitalizations.

FOODiversity’s customers are people with special dietary needs, including Title 1 students, college students, patients, guests of food pantries/soup kitchens, etc.

FOODiversity’s clients are frontline emergency food providers, such as food pantries, soup kitchens, schools and universities, backpack meal organizations, healthcare systems, and more.

FOODiversity’s partners are organizations providing service, education, and support, mostly in the food allergy and celiac disease spaces. Partners range from large, well-established voices to smaller organizations and individuals.
