Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse license required)
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficient with electronic charting systems
• Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio
• Preferred:
  Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or LTAC experience
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
• One supervisory reference from the past year required

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit
• Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients per shift
• Perform and document comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
• Utilize advanced clinical skills including central line management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and post-operative care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more)
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules
