- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), 3 shifts/week
- Total
Hours:
36 hours per week - Patient Ratio: 1:6 (Adults & Geriatrics)
- Scrubs:
Royal Blue - Flu Vaccine:
Required (no exemptions) - Orientation:
Bi-weekly, 36 hours
- Minimum 3 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
- Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (Registered Nurse license required)
- Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - Proficient with electronic charting systems
- Experience managing a 1:6 patient ratio
- Preferred:
Previous charge nurse, community hospital, or LTAC experience - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
- One supervisory reference from the past year required
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a busy Med/Surg unit
- Manage a patient load of up to 6 patients per shift
- Perform and document comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
- Utilize advanced clinical skills including central line management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and post-operative care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and more)
- Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in orientation and complete all required training modules
