American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit requiring NC or compact licensure and 2+ years of hospital nursing experience.

• Med/Surg Tele unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic charting system experience required
• Biweekly orientation schedule

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS or Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience required
• Must pass an onsite EKG/Telemetry exam
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Experience managing cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmias, and telemetry
• Experience with wound care and isolation precautions/PPE

• Provide direct patient care for a diverse Med/Surg and Telemetry patient population, including post-surgical, cardiac, renal, and neurological cases
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced pay rate
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application, limited to 5–7 days maximum
