American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for an 8-week night shift contract requiring Level I trauma experience and prior travel assignment history.

• Medical Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Possible on-call if census is low
• Epic charting experience required
• Bi-weekly orientations

• Active NC or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS/Stroke certification preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, ETT/NT suctioning, and ABG interpretation
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and managing continuous IV sedation
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care
• Must be able to pass an EKG/Telemetry exam onsite
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have worked there within the past 6 months

The $2,023 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
