Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide maintenance support to Production department along with other departments, as needed. Support packaging line changeovers. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and other equipment in the facility. Troubleshoot all manufacturing equipment and related issues and follow up as needed. Support the installation and startup of new machinery and equipment. Maintain a daily record of time and parts involved with assignments.

Collaborate with other mechanics, electricians, production workers, and other staff to promptly resolve maintenance issues. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and Microsoft applications to document work. Participate in and lead root cause analyses of equipment failure, as directed.

Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Technical school, vocational training, apprenticeship experience, or industrial maintenance education is preferred.

Experience Requirements 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience. Mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic troubleshooting experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
Able to demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and repair various processing and packaging equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook. Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding techniques and capable of utilizing standard shop equipment. Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints, engineer designs and complex schematics. Strong time management, communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
