The Clay County Auditor’s Office is now accepting applications to be considered for a Variable Hour (Part-Time) Deputy Auditor/Motor Vehicle.

Starting salary: $22.61 per hour
Full salary range: $22.61 - $31.25 per hour

Status:
Non-Exempt

• Completion of a one-year program at a college or technical school in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may be considered
• 6 months to 1 year of previous work-related experience
• Applicant must successfully complete a background investigation

• Experience with office machines, data entry, typing and mathematical computations is preferred

• If you are an eligible military veteran and wish to claim Veteran’s Preference, you must present a legible photocopy of your DD214 form to the Office of Human Resources. All veterans who are certified will be considered for appointment

The listed examples may not include all the duties performed by all positions in this class

• Processing driver’s license and identification card applications and renewals
• Assisting the public in the registration, titling and licensing of motor vehicles
• Maintains inventory records which include stickers and plates
• Prepares daily deposits, balances all tills and accounts for all transactions
• Other duties as assigned
