Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) – Part-Time PM Shift

Eventide Senior Living Communities is hiring a Trained Medication Assistant to work the PM shift (2:30 pm–11:00 pm). The role is part‑time with a rotation that includes every other weekend and holiday.

• Organize, administer, and document all oral medications, inhalers, eye drops, eardrops, and topical medications.
• Observe side effects and report observations to the Charge Nurse.
• Administer medication as needed under the guidance and supervision of the Charge Nurse.
• Report the effectiveness of medication administration.
• Notify the Charge Nurse of changes in residents’ conditions.
• Dispense stock medication to employees only with approval of the Charge Nurse.
• Check all medications on a routine basis, including expiration dates; supply and reorder in a timely manner.
• Assist in keeping the medication cart clean, including individual drawers, on a monthly basis.
• Comply with rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Health and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
• Assist with all daily living activities of the residents (oral care, hair care, dressing, feeding, bathing, toileting, etc.) to ensure safety, comfort, health, and hygiene as needed.
• Provide activity and exercise as required for each individual resident.
• Assist in providing nutrition and fluids that help meet elimination needs when appropriate.
• Dispose of medications that have been discontinued per prescribing orders, in accordance with Eventide’s policy.
• Write physician orders on medication sheets as directed by the Charge Nurse.
• Adhere to safe lifting procedures.
• Complete all required in‑service sessions and trainings throughout the year.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and registered on the Minnesota Nurse Assistant Registry.
• Current Minnesota TMA Certification.
• In good standing on all relevant nursing assistant registries.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or approved equivalency).

Estimated pay range: $23.00–$25.07 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differential pay are available for select positions.
