Senior Earthwork Estimator

• Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year

- Lead preconstruction efforts related to grading, mass excavation, and site development.
- Work closely with ownership and operations leadership to analyze plans, build bids, and set projects up for success.
- Improve internal processes and mentor junior team members as the department grows.
- Lead earthwork quantity takeoffs and build accurate estimates using AGTEK and other tools.
- Review civil plans, topographic surveys, and soils/geotech reports in detail.
- Prepare cost breakdowns, scope clarifications, and value engineering options.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and engage with owners, GCs, engineers, and subcontractors as needed.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure continuity between estimating and operations.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior estimators or takeoff specialists.
- Support business development with conceptual estimates and budgeting.
- 5+ years of experience in earthwork or sitework estimating (mass grading, cut/fill, export/import, etc.).
- Expert-level proficiency in AGTEK is required.
- Deep understanding of civil plans, survey data, and construction logistics.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload and schedule.
- Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
- Desire to grow with the company and help shape its future estimating operations.
