** Job Description
** EBAD is seeking a talented
** Development Engineer**, reporting to the Product Development Engineering Lead.
** Responsibilities:
** The development engineer (DE) is the technical lead on internal and external projects and is responsible for all technical and schedule aspects of the project/product from concept through development, qualification and production.  Primary duties include:
* Development and maintenance of the technical data package, product testing requirements and methods.
* Create 3D conceptual models to meet customer design requirements
* Perform design trade studies and hand calculations
* Perform tolerance studies to ensure design fidelity
* Interact with customers on design, interface and functional details
* Interact with suppliers to rapid prototype parts for risk reduction testing
* Requirements generation, allocation, and flow down
* Technical compliance and risk assessment/management
* Coordination of project team technical tasks
* Cost estimating and management for both proposal and program activity
* Additional duties include coordination with other departments to ensure the production viability of new designs, creation of the required documentation, and internal and customer approval for this documentation.
** Requirements:
** The successful candidate must have a BS/MS in an engineering discipline and experience in project, design or related engineering experience.  Mechanical and/or Aerospace are the preferred engineering disciplines.

Required experience includes:
* Proven leadership of technical teams
* Ability to apply customer requirements and government/military specifications to design
* Demonstrated experience generating 3D models & 2D drawings, Solid Works preferred
* Capable of applying GD&T, and understanding how it effects part cost
* Strong written, verbal and presentation skills for interaction with various levels of management and customers
* Demonstrated competency in problem solving and root cause analysis
* Must have or be able to obtain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

Skills:

*** Knowledge of satellite and launch vehicle systems
* Experience with product development, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing processes
* Experience with leading and managing dynamic and cyclic load testing.
* Experience with all Microsoft Office tools including MS Project
* ANSYS and Solid Works experience
** Compensation:
** Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year. Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
