Production Assembler with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark, CA. This is a full-time position.
9/80 Schedule
Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (eight-hour shift every other Friday)
General SummaryThis position will report to the Shop Floor Supervisor and will be responsible for various work assignments throughout the production area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Performs manual/mechanized assembly operations.
- Responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements.
- Process specifications using hand tools, machinery, air presses, jigs and other equipment and tooling.
- Must be able to follow work instructions.
- Performs other operations such as loading and unloading components into tooling and powders into cups to press.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must demonstrate ability to setup and monitor equipment through written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- General knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools.
- Ability to perform fine mechanical assembly including resistance welding, light machining and electrical testing.
- Defense and Aerospace Industry experience including working knowledge of company product lines is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Appropriate safety equipment as required by area. Some of the test and manufacturing areas include exposure to noise and may require hearing protection. Safety training in the handling of pyrotechnic materials is required. The physical activities of this position include work lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling, repetitive motions, stooping, balancing, pushing, pulling, coordinating, talking and hearing.

CompensationHourly Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour. Compensation is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
