Review work instructions, drawings, panel layouts, and production documentation before beginning work. Verify the correct panel, part number, revision, and quantity before processing. Load and position PCB panels into depanelization equipment according to established procedures. Adjust and operate equipment according to approved process parameters. Carefully separate individual circuit boards while minimizing stress, flexing, vibration, or other potential damage to the PCB or components.
Inspect depaneled circuit boards for cracks, chips, burrs, delamination, damaged components, lifted pads, broken traces, or other defects. Remove excess tabs, rails, or board material as required using approved tools and processes. Ensure edges of depaneled boards meet established customer and workmanship requirements. Protect boards from ESD and physical damage throughout the depanelization and handling process. Identify and report damaged boards, tooling issues, equipment problems, or unusual conditions to the Lead, Supervisor, or Quality department.
