Highly Competitive Our client is an established consultancy specialising in commercial management, cost consultancy, contract administration and project support across major infrastructure, energy and engineering projects. With a strong reputation for delivering commercial solutions across complex projects, the business works closely with major clients and project teams throughout the full project lifecycle. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial and contractual expertise across major infrastructure, energy and engineering projects. Working closely with clients, project managers, engineers, contractors and wider consultancy teams, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from early-stage development through to completion. The role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC contract knowledge and a background working within infrastructure, energy, engineering or similarly complex project environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing commercial and quantity surveying services across major infrastructure, energy and engineering projects
* Managing project costs, budgets and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle
* Working within NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract environments
* Preparing and reviewing cost reports, forecasts and commercial reports
* Managing change control, variations and compensation events
* Reviewing applications for payment and assessing valuations
* Supporting procurement and the preparation of tender documentation
* Managing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier accounts
* Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
* Supporting clients with commercial and contractual advice
* Monitoring project performance against agreed budgets and forecasts
* Working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, contractors and other consultants
* Supporting junior members of the commercial team and providing technical guidance where required The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior level
* Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts, particularly NEC3 and/or NEC4
* Experience working within infrastructure, energy, engineering or major capital projects
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness
* Experience with cost reporting, forecasting, change control and valuations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
* The ability to work confidently with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
* A relevant Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Construction-related qualification
* RICS membership or progression towards chartership would be advantageous What's on Offer
