A well established Manufacturing business is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its on site engineering function. This is a pivotal leadership role with real influence over site performance, culture and long-term strategy.
You'll join a stable, forward thinking organisation where you can make a genuine impact driving reliability, safety and continuous improvement across the operation.
The RoleAs Engineering Manager will take full ownership of the engineering department and team. This role is focused on delivering a high performing, reliable plant while embedding a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:- Leading health, safety and environmental compliance across engineering
- Driving improvements in machine uptime and reliability
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance through CMMS (SIRE or similar)
- Implementing LEAN / continuous improvement strategies
- Delivering CAPEX projects (circa £1.5 budget)
- Managing contractors, suppliers, and engineering spend
- Playing a key role within the site leadership team
- Experienced Engineering Manager from a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Background in process-led Manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead and develop diverse engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing / Six Sigma
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Solid understanding of compliance, H&S, and engineering standards
- Financial awareness including budget and CAPEX management
- Engineering qualification (HND preferred) (electrical bias preferred)
- IOSH
You'll be a hands on leader in approach, someone who leads with honesty, builds strong relationships and works collaboratively with across the business to deliver results.
