Community Staff Nurse South District - Maternity Leave

Overview

Morecambe South District Nurses is recruiting a temporary staff nurse for a 30‑hour per week post until August 2027. The role will be based in Morecambe and may involve working across the local network of hospitals and community facilities.

• Provide high‑quality care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions in the community setting.
• Work closely with health and social care colleagues, voluntary sector and informal carers to promote excellent care.
• Participate in a 24‑hour service, supporting staff to ensure service delivery across 7 days, including weekends and evening shifts.
• Undertake complex nursing assessments and develop and deliver programmes of care for patients and carers.
• Collaborate with other professionals to promote patient safety and quality of care.

• Current full UK driving licence.
• Student nurses approaching qualification, newly qualified staff nurses, and experienced staff nurses are welcome.
• Commitment to flexible working, including weekends and evening shifts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a community nursing environment.

• Access to regular clinical supervision, training and Occupational Health services.
