The role is permanent and full-time, 37.5 hours per week, based at the Halo Aerospace Stadium, Morecambe. Purpose of role To lead and manage the Clubs events and hospitality sales, promotional and revenue generating activity. To maximise commercial potential across all events and hospitality activities. To proactively generate new corporate, private and events business through energetic outbound sales activity. Given the unique demands that come with promoting an events business within an elite football club environment, the role requires professionalism and considerable flexibility.
Key responsibilities Develop and implement a commercial strategy to drive events, conference, and corporate entertainment bookings and sales revenue. Work closely with the COO to align events commercial activities with the clubs strategic objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across corporate, conference and event sectors Analyse feedback received to ensure all obligations are effectively delivered, and standards and performance levels are constantly maintained and, where necessary, improved Identify, opportunities for exclusive hires, corporate entertainment, networking events, product launches, Christmas parties and large-scale celebrations Establish and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients Conduct regular venue showcases, familiarisation visits and networking activity Ensure that products, events, promotions and more are showcased creatively and effectively to relevant audiences to maximise sales and exposure.
Create compelling sales pitches and proposals tailored to potential event bookers/venue hirers Represent the Club at networking events, trade shows, exhibitions and other industry functions, expanding the clubs events and hospitality reach Monitor, track, analyse and write reports on all events sales activity monthly, monitor revenue performance and provide regular reports and insights to the COO Deliver against revenue and profitability targets Monitor market trends and competitor activity to aid client retention and identify growth opportunities Collaborate closely with other Club departments to maximise cross-selling opportunities wherever possible Complete all administrative tasks relevant to the role.
